How to Make Chocolate Cookies | Inspired by J’adore & Martha Stewart
How to Make Chocolate Cookies
This rich and fudgy chocolate crinkle cookie recipe inspired by J’adore and Martha Stewart is perfect for holiday baking. Today, I followed YouTuber J'adore’s video and baked some rich chocolate cookies for the first time in a while! J'adore mentioned that this recipe is from Martha Stewart. Since I can't drink coffee, I used decaffeinated instant coffee instead of espresso.
✅ Prep Before Making the Dough
Melt 113g of dark chocolate in the microwave in two 25-second intervals.
Mix one egg in advance and let it come to room temperature.
Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and coffee powder, then sift them once.
🧁 How to Make Chocolate Cookie Dough
1. In a mixer, cream 57g of unsalted butter.
2. Add 70g of brown sugar and 1g of salt and mix. Whip until the color becomes light.
3. Add the mixed egg gradually in 4–5 portions and whip.
4. Add the melted dark chocolate and mix well.
5. Add the sifted powder and mix with a spatula until the entire mixture is even.
6. Once you add the room temperature milk and mix well, the dough is ready.
❄️ Chill the Dough & Shape It
Place plastic wrap on a tray, put the dough on top, cover it with another wrap, and flatten it with your hands.
Chill in the freezer for about 40 minutes.
Once firm, mark the dough into a 4x4 grid (or preferred size) for easier portioning.
Take each portion, roll it into a ball, and coat evenly in powdered sugar.
Roll once more in sugar.
🔥 Baking
Preheat the oven to 170°C (338°F) for about 10 minutes.
Place cookies on a baking sheet with space between each one.
Bake at 170°C (338°F) for 12 minutes.
🍽️ Finished! Deep, Rich Chocolate Cookies
Mmm~ The soft texture and rich dark chocolate flavor are truly delightful!
Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside!
Perfect for sharing with family over a cup of warm coffee or milk. ☕
